Why I Do this Writing Stuff

 

Me Dusti #2I grew up in a small Wyoming town and soon realized my purpose was to help people improve themselves and their lives. From working as a candy striper to becoming a teacher, a hospice volunteer, and a group home supervisor, I’ve always wanted to leave people and their circumstances better than I found them.

In late 2007, I discovered copywriting and never looked back. I love helping my clients increase business and keep their customers coming back by doing one simple thing: developing relationships.

The biggest mistake I see businesses (online and offline) make is ignoring customers after they buy. Keeping customers happy and buying creates cash flow and referrals. In addition, it’s five times easier to sell customers again than to convince a prospect to buy. However, most businesses don’t know this, so they keep chasing new customers… and they leave thousands of dollars on the table.

In 2016, I decided to focus on helping businesses hold onto customers through blogs, emails, newsletters, and social media. I also help my clients bring old customers back and gain new ones through the power of joint ventures and customer reactivation.

I’m a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education. I’ve taken several courses in health studies from the University of Alabama, plus a variety of copywriting and marketing courses. After a 20-year detour in Denver, I’m back home in Laramie, WY with my better half, Craig, and three incredibly spoiled dogs.
